We Are Huntingdon. We Are Family.
Once you have received your letter of acceptance to Huntingdon College, you will submit a deposit in order to confirm your intention to enroll, secure your financial aid offer, and hold your place in the entering class.
Admitted Student Checklist
- Refer to the Financial Aid Checklist and complete the necessary steps. Because of comprehensive federal changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the processes and terminology associated with that application through the FAFSA Simplification Act, we anticipate the FAFSA will be available in December 2023 for students who are applying for admission for Fall 2024.
- If you have not visited campus, schedule a visit. We welcome you anytime!
- Complete and submit the necessary Enrollment Forms.
- Confirm your intention to enroll by submitting your enrollment deposit by May 1.
- Receive and accept (or decline) portions of your Financial Aid Offer; sign and return it to the Office of Student Financial Services.
- IMPORTANT: Send official final transcripts from your high school or transfer institution showing either the date of high school graduation or, for transfers, the completion of your transfer coursework.
- Make plans to attend New Student Orientation.
- Stretch those Hawk wings and congratulate yourself on making a great decision for your future!
FAQ – Deposited Students
A: New freshmen and transfer students are placed in classes for the first semester by the Office of Academic Affairs. After you receive your schedule you may make changes during a designated time period, if necessary.
A: Don’t worry! Exploring and finding new paths for your life are what a liberal arts education is all about. If you don’t declare a major, you will begin as an “undeclared” student. There are selected advisers who work with students who haven’t yet declared a major. They will work with you to choose a major that suits your interests, goals, and talents.
A: Roommates are selected on the basis of your responses to the roommate questionnaire in the housing forms you complete.
A: If you and a friend have chosen to room together, you must both indicate that you would like to room with each other on your respective housing forms. Freshmen live with freshmen.
A: Roommates are selected by the Office of Residential Communities and communicated to students toward the end of summer. After you receive notification, you should be in touch with your roommate in order to coordinate what you will bring to the room, as well as the décor (if that matters to you).
A: Your room assignment accompanies the information about your roommate. You can learn about room dimensions and more about the halls under the Campus Life/Residence Life section of the website.
A: Yes. Your Commuter Fee covers a basic Commuter Meal Plan, providing flex dollars for you to use in various campus dining venues. If you would like to add to your Commuter Meal Plan, consult the Miscellaneous Purchases section of the Student Financial Services information.
A: For incoming freshmen and transfer students from 2016 forward, books and information resources are included within the cost of your student fee. Your books and information resources will be handed out during New Student Orientation.
A: We put together a fairly comprehensive list of what you can pack for college under the Residence Life section of the website, but each student will bring items that suit her or his interests and needs.
A: Yes to both questions. Parking regulations are controlled by Campus Security.

Home Sweet Huntingdon Open Houses
for Deposited Students
Home Sweet Huntingdon Open Houses are special days set aside for deposited students to enjoy some time in your new college home. The schedule allows you (your family is welcome, as well) to share a meal in the dining hall; put on comfy walking shoes and tour the campus and residence halls; meet some of your new classmates; talk with current students, faculty, and coaches; and ask any questions you’d like to ask. Relax and make yourself at home! Please choose one of the available dates: Thursday, June 20, 2024, or Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Attending a Home Sweet Huntingdon event will also help you get a head start on fall semester, completing most of the paperwork and eliminating some of the steps you would otherwise have at check-in. Don’t miss HSH!
